Hi, I'm Darren McStay, the founder of Vocabilities

With over 30 years of experience as a voice coach and performer, I've had the privilege of reaching millions worldwide, helping them transform their voices and, in many cases, their lives.

I originally trained as an actor and musician, earning a distinction in Speech and Articulation from LAMDA and an MA in Acting from East 15 Acting School. I began my coaching journey in 2008 and have since guided thousands to find confidence as voice-over artists and speakers. My qualifications also include diplomas in Life Coaching and Hypnotherapy, giving me a broad toolkit to support my clients’ personal and professional growth.

Throughout my career, I've performed at places like The National Theatre, The Royal Opera House, and in the West End's Warhorse. I've also had the chance to share stages with major acts, such as Scissor Sisters, at festivals like Glastonbury.

Over these years, I've been fortunate to appear live before nearly three and a half million people. This experience has fuelled my passion for coaching, helping me connect with tens of millions of people who are working to improve their voices, enhance communication skills, and make positive lifestyle changes.

All this background and experience allow me to provide a unique and well-rounded approach when working with my clients.
